Dr. Salma Helal was born and raised in the Twin Cities. As a child, she attended North Park Elementary school in Fridley and graduated from Columbia Heights High School. After High School; she received her Bachelor of Science degree in 2010 from the University of Minnesota

I chose dentistry because of the perfect mixture of art and science needed to develop lifelong patient relationships. I strive to help patients become more comfortable in a dental office and empower them to regain oral health. I love working with patients to develop the best individualized treatment plan for their specific needs. I also enjoy educating my patients so they fully understand their dental needs.
After graduating from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2014, I completed a general practice residency in Seattle, WA. I was able to refine my dental surgical skills taking after-hours hospital emergency calls and managing dental trauma and infections. I later became the Assistant Program Director of the residency program and participated in teaching and mentoring dental residents. I ultimately left this position to return to my home state of Minnesota to be with family. Prior to acquiring Dr. Michael Wolf’s practice, I worked at a large group practice and taught dental students as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota. I am honored to continue Dr. Wolf’s legacy and serve the local community where I grew up.
Outside of dentistry, I enjoy traveling, reading, experimenting with new recipes, and expanding my tea collection. I am also an avid photographer and especially enjoy landscape and macro photography. You will find some of my photos throughout the practice!
